Microworks GmbH is an innovative manufacturer of standardized and custom products for X-ray nondestructive testing (NDT) and X-ray quality control. Our main customers are researchers and educators, and we are looking to expand to industrial customers. We initially started 15 years ago as a producer of high-end watch parts using X-ray lithography, then rapidly expanded to X-ray-optical gratings and most recently TALINT, an X-ray interferometer.Our small, dedicated team of 7 meets customers’ specific needs by means of the most modern lithographic techniques, micro-electroplating, and a lot of creativity. We are located in close proximity to Campus North of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Southwest Germany.

Hello friends, supporters, followers and most of all hello customers,
In fall 2024, I handed over the reins of Microworks to Florian Döring, who is now the Managing Director. He also runs XRnanotech, a Swiss company which acquired Microworks last year. It would be wonderful if you continue to support both Microworks and XRnanotech. I will contribute towards making this a successful endeavour in my new role as Senior Advisor.
Some of you know that I have been fighting a tumor. Therefore, I will withdraw from most representative activities of Microworks.
Thank you once more – I won’t give up hope that I can sustain the fight against the tumor, maybe even for years.
I also won’t give up hope that the world may change again towards more mutual respect and towards the need to check and balance the power of powerful people.
